Fu Song, deputy director of the government services center of the Guiyang Free Trade Zone -- located in the capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province -- exchanged views with officials from Guiyang's Nanming district on July 24 about a raft of civic improvements, according to Guiyang FTZ officials.
They discussed progress being made in Guiyang's "civilized city" campaign, in upgrading its various public amenities and infrastructure to improve its citizens' overall standard of living.
Fu visited the government services center of Nanming district, to learn about its functional areas, services and administrative procedures.
He also focused on some challenges in Guiyang's development as civilized city, including the establishment of new public toilets and mother-and-baby rooms.
During the meeting, Fu said improvements at Nanming's government services center were worth adopting by the Guiyang FTZ.
In addition, the meeting discussed on how to give full play to the customs advantages enjoyed by the Guiyang FTZ, to provide better services for the local export-oriented economy.
Officials also made suggestions on establishing a linked services system, to help increase the province's reform in its government services.
