The taxation bureau of the Guiyang Free Trade Zone (FTZ) – located in Southwest China's Guizhou province – has set up a cloud-classroom platform for taxpayers to introduce policies and measures for epidemic prevention and control, the resumption of work and production, as well as economic development, according to Guiyang FTZ officials.
The cloud-classroom provides tax policy training courses online through live streaming functions from Tencent's QQ instant messaging platform. So far, the number of members of the cloud-classroom has reached 478, covering most of the financial personnel and taxpayers of the Guiyang FTZ.
Officials said that the online training courses have facilitated the implementation of various preferential tax policies. They said it is very convenient for taxpayers to watch the live streaming training courses through computers or mobile phones. In addition, taxpayers are able to interact with lecturers in real time.
The training courses mainly introduce the preferential policies for value-added tax, corporate income tax and individual income tax during the epidemic.
Officials said they help businesses quickly understand the tax policies and enjoy the tax dividends from four aspects, including support for coronavirus protection and treatment, support for materials supplies, public donations and support for getting back to work.
Officials said the cloud-classroom is the most accessible method for taxpayers, meeting different needs for training content, available times, among others.
It also avoids gatherings of people, reducing the risk of virus transmission and infection.
