A national big data application technology engineering lab for improving governance was launched in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on Nov 12.
Southwest China's Guizhou province aims to upgrade big data development by reforming its digital industry, digital integration, digital infrastructure, digital governance and digital ecosystem, according to a news conference held on Nov 8.
"Unlocking the New Equation of Meteorological Data Value" was officially released at the 5th China International Import Expo (CIIE) on Nov 7.
A total of 66 projects located in Guiyang HIDZ will be supported by the special fund for big data development in Guiyang in 2022.
The Global Big Data Exchange in Guiyang – capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province – has continued to innovate with its big data transactions and to date has attracted 371 data merchants providing 493 data products, generating total annual business transactions last year of 159 million yuan ($21.89 million).
Southwest China's Guizhou province is taking steps to accelerate the construction of data centers, computing infrastructure and national computing hub, as part of its broader drive to improve efficiency in the use of computing resources and inject fresh impetus into the country's digital economy.
