Qianlingshan Park creates new model for cultural tourism

Qianlingshan Park in Guiyang's Yunyan district is awash in rich autumn hues, attracting residents and visitors alike.

After exploring the natural scenery, visitors can follow the trails straight to the south gate of the park and enter the Qianlingshan Xingyuemao underground commercial block to sample a wide range of Guizhou specialties and shop for local souvenirs.

Benefiting from its location near a park, metro station and residential communities, the block has seen steady growth in sales at its restaurants and cultural and creative businesses since its opening. It now receives nearly 35,000 daily visits on workdays, with weekend numbers peaking at 50,000, turning foot traffic from the surrounding green spaces into increased consumer spending.
