Yunyan tourism booms during National Day holiday

Scenic areas and tourist attractions in Yunyan district were packed with visitors during the National Day holiday from Oct 1 to 7.

A-level tourist attractions received around 510,000 visits in total, and tourism blocks recorded nearly 350,000 visits. Qianlingshan Park, Yangming Temple, and Wenchang Pavilion registered 474,000, 6,200, and 29,900 visitors, respectively.

From Sept 30 to Oct 7, Minsheng Road recorded nearly 320,400 visits, Taiping Road received around 23,600 visitors, and Xinyin 1950 Discovery welcomed about 4,600 visitors.

Cinemas and commercial areas also delivered outstanding performances. Guiyang Cross Cinema recorded total revenue of 656,000 yuan ($97,917), ranking first among all Guiyang cinemas.

Zhonghua Road commercial area posted consumption volume of 1.09 billion yuan with 1.64 million visits, representing a year-on-year increase of 4.6 percent and 5.4 percent, respectively. Both indicators topped all commercial hubs in Guiyang.

The district hosted eight cultural events, three sports activities, and 12 commercial campaigns, attracting a total of 5,000 participants, enriching people's holiday experience and stimulating cultural and tourism consumption.
