Yangming Temple

Hidden amid the bustle of downtown Guiyang, Yangming Temple is a peaceful retreat built during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) to commemorate the renowned philosopher Wang Yangming. Nestled on the western slope of Dongshan Mountain, the temple is surrounded by ancient cypress trees and lush bamboo, offering visitors a tranquil escape from city life.

The elegant complex features traditional halls, corridors, and courtyards adorned with plaques and couplets inspired by Wang Yangming's life and philosophy. Visitors can enjoy a quiet cup of tea, listen to the breeze rustling through the bamboo, study the engraved stone inscriptions, or simply stroll through the peaceful gardens while appreciating the harmony between historic architecture and nature. Its serene atmosphere provides an ideal setting to explore the profound wisdom of Yangming Philosophy and find a moment of tranquility.

   Tuesday–Sunday: 9 am–6 pm

   Closed on Mondays
