Yunyan holds tea culture event

The launch ceremony of the 2026 Guizhou Spring Tea Tasting Event was held on June 16 in Yunyan district, showcasing the distinctive charm of Guizhou tea culture. The event will run from 8:30 am to 8:30 pm daily until June 30.

Guizhou is a nationally renowned tea-growing province, with its tea garden area maintained at around 7 million mu (466,666 hectares). The province's tea industry has developed into a 100-billion-yuan ($14.73 billion) agricultural sector.

Endowed with unique ecological conditions, Guizhou has nurtured a host of well-known tea brands. The average export price of its tea and the export volume of its matcha both rank first nationwide, demonstrating their strong international popularity.

The event will feature a wide range of activities, including brand promotions, tea culture outreach activities, and opportunities to sample premium teas.
