Yunyan's high-quality development during 14th Five-Year Plan

Yunyan district's GDP exceeded 100 billion yuan ($14.36 billion) during the 14th Five-Year Plan period(2021-25), a year-on-year increase of 5.3 percent.

Yunyan has optimized its industrial structure over the past five years, with the approval of the Guizhou Yunyan Economic Development Zone as a provincial development zone, laying the foundation for attracting advantageous industries, high-quality projects, and leading enterprises.

Yunyan has implemented nearly 6 million square meters of urban village renovations and improved the quality of rural living through multiple measures, including transforming rural houses and comprehensive environmental improvements.

The district installed 150 elevators in old residential buildings, built 29 "15-minute life circles", and established 14,700 parking spaces, making life more convenient for citizens.

Yunyan has accelerated its ecological environmental protection, with the rate of excellent air quality days reaching 99.2 percent, the domestic waste transfer rate and harmless treatment rate reaching 100 percent, and urban green space coverage reaching 47.97 percent. The district has been listed in the "Top 100 Green Development Areas in China" for six consecutive years, and has become the first district in Guiyang to be included on the "Cities with Nature" platform of the United Nations.

To improve people's livelihoods and promote high-quality development, Yunyan ensured that more than 85 percent of the general public budget was allocated to people's well-being, totaling more than 23 billion yuan in investment.

The district's employment service platform has helped develop 44,000 university graduates and added 188,900 urban jobs. The per capita disposable income of residents has exceeded 50,000 yuan for four consecutive years, ranking the province and the city first.

Yunyan will seize opportunities to promote high-quality development during the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-30) and make breakthroughs in the district's modernization.
