Yunyan to build education powerhouse experimental zone

A launch meeting for constructing an education powerhouse experimental zone was held on March 14 at Guiyang Experimental Primary School in Yunyan district, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

At the meeting, the China National Academy of Educational Sciences and the Yunyan district people's government signed a cooperation agreement to foster the development of the education powerhouse experimental zone.

They will focus on challenging issues, such as promoting the high-quality and balanced development of compulsory education, integrating artificial intelligence and digital transformation in education, improving the capabilities of school leaders, regional educational evaluation reform, and nurturing high-quality schools.

Through this collaborative initiative, Yunyan will inject new momentum into its basic education development, improve educational quality, and drive the region into a new growth phase. It is also expected to propel the region's economic and social high-quality development and provide a model for national education reforms.

Wang Qian, deputy secretary of the CPC Yunyan district committee and head of Yunyan, expressed confidence in the project, emphasizing top-tier resources, strong support in fostering educational breakthroughs, and the role of authoritative think tanks.

Li Yongzhi, Party secretary and president of the China National Academy of Educational Sciences, offered opinions on the initiative, encouraging a focus on quality, equity, and digital innovation to achieve tangible educational improvements.
