Yunyan district, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, unveiled a refreshed culinary and cultural scene this year, blending historical heritage with modern consumer trends. Iconic streets like Taiping Road, Minsheng Road, and Xinyin 1950 Discovery have been revitalized, fostering unique urban tourism and an economic ecosystem while breathing new life into the city's old streets.

Taiping Road launched on Jan 26 and quickly became a hotspot for fashion and entertainment. Within its first three days, the road attracted over 70,000 daily visits. After one month, foot traffic had exceeded 1.1 million, generating over 20 million yuan ($2.74 million) in revenue across its 165 businesses.

Xinyin 1950 Discovery opened on May 25, transforming an old industrial site into a vibrant cultural and creative hub. The space, which preserves factory-style architecture while integrating modern cultural elements, drew 128,000 visitors on its opening day alone.

The grand opening of Minsheng Road, a cultural hub renowned for its rich food traditions, took place on Sept 20. The road, which received around 40,000 visits on its debut, is celebrated for its iconic local delicacies, which evoke memories of Guiyang's culinary heritage.

On Oct 1, Taipingli Qianshihui introduced over 1,000 Guizhou specialty snacks, attracting 172,000 visitors during the National Day holiday and cementing Yunyan's position as a must-visit destination for food and culture lovers.

These vibrant destinations redefine urban life, drawing locals and tourists to explore, indulge, and connect. By innovatively blending tradition and trends, Yunyan is setting a benchmark for cultural and economic revitalization and paving the way for a thriving future.
