Yunyan adds two city-level specialty food streets

The Guiyang bureau of commerce recently announced eight new city-level specialty food streets for 2024. Two standouts in Yunyan district are Minsheng Road and Xinyin 1950 Discovery.

Minsheng Road, a classic hotspot for Guiyang's culinary culture, opened Haochi Street on Sept 20. During the National Day holiday, it welcomed over 300,000 visits, showcasing its immense popularity.

Covering more than 4,000 square meters, Haochi Street gathers over 60 heritage, long-established, and specialty dining brands, offering more than 1,000 unique dishes from Guizhou province and across China. It is the largest local food hub in Guiyang and the first to combine digitalization and interactive experiences, redefining modern food consumption.

Xinyin 1950 Discovery opened on May 25, attracting 128,000 visits on its first day and millions of online viewers via live streams.

This project merges cultural heritage with economic growth as part of Yunyan's urban revitalization efforts. It transformed a 70-year-old printing factory into a trendy cultural landmark featuring food markets, urban exhibitions, cultural spaces, and creative brands.

These dynamic developments position Yunyan as a thriving hub for culinary innovation, cultural preservation, and urban renewal, offering visitors modern conveniences and a deep-rooted industrial history.
