Yunyan district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, hosted a signing ceremony with the Trade and Economic Multifunctional Platform for SCO Countries on Dec 21.
Wang Qian, deputy secretary of the CPC Yunyan district committee and head of Yunyan, highlighted the platform's expertise in integrating Belt and Road trade resources, industrial collaboration, and green product certification.
He emphasized the partnership as a key step in utilizing Yunyan's industrial potential and attracting high-quality enterprises, advanced technologies, and talent. The collaboration will foster growth in urban medical consortiums, industry-education integration, and international cooperation, boosting local businesses' global engagement and development capacity.
Liu Jie, deputy secretary-general of the Trade and Economic Multifunctional Platform for SCO Countries, praised Yunyan's cultural richness and natural beauty, expressing confidence in the partnership to enhance pragmatic collaboration and support the district's economic development.
Wang also met with South African Youth Chamber of Commerce & Industry leaders and their delegation. Inspired by Yunyan's progress, they pledged to promote entrepreneurial and training initiatives in South Africa.
The delegation also toured key enterprises, discussing opportunities in urban development, AI, and global market expansion and achieving promising outcomes for future collaboration.
