Yunyan workers' sports meeting kicks off

The 2024 workers' sports meeting of Yunyan district in Guiyang kicked off on Oct 12 and will run until Oct 31.

Employees from prominent local enterprises actively participated in the sports meeting, showcasing the district's thriving business environment, which focuses on government-enterprise collaboration and integrated development.

The event features diverse competitions, including soccer, basketball, badminton, table tennis, volleyball, and swimming. It also involves alternative sports, such as an indoor triathlon, tug-of-war, 10-person jump rope, and land dragon boat racing.

Each category will award the top three individual winners and 10 team awards, including five for outstanding organization and five for sportsmanship.

A total of 54 teams will compete in basketball, 28 in tug-of-war, 24 in football, 19 in jump rope, 19 in fun sports, and seven in volleyball. There will also be 189 participants in badminton, 132 in table tennis, 105 in swimming, and 32 in the triathlon. 

To minimize disruptions, matches are scheduled on weekdays from 6 pm to 9 pm.
