Yunyan district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, ranked among the top 100 municipal districts in terms of comprehensive tourism strength, according to "China's municipal district tourism research report 2024" recently released in Beijing.
The assessment of municipal districts' tourism strength considered 32 indicators in six categories -tourism development level, marketing intensity, driving force, basic conditions, facilities, services, and market regulation. Districts scoring within the top 100 were recognized in the report.
This year, Yunyan has seen a transformation in its tourism industry, shifting from a focus on visitor numbers to visitor experiences.
By utilizing its core strengths, the district has created new urban exploration experiences, offering a fresh approach to urban cultural tourism.
The district has embraced a model of deep integration across multiple sectors, promoting a blend of culture, commerce, sports, and tourism. This concerted effort has accelerated the influx of visitors and capital, elevating the quality of offerings and services in the region.
