Modern pentathlon obstacle run starts in Yunyan

The Guiyang leg of the modern pentathlon mass obstacle run of the national fitness community sports meet was held on Aug 24 at Qianlingshan Park in Yunyan district, Guiyang.

The event aimed to showcase the unique charm and widespread participation of the modern pentathlon mass obstacle run, promote national fitness, and encourage a healthy and positive lifestyle.

The 2.4-kilometer track featured 11 challenging obstacles, blending fun and athleticism. The competition included individual and parent-child races, with separate categories for men and women in the individual race and a relay race in the parent-child category.

The atmosphere at the event was vibrant, with participants donning matching sportswear and displaying high spirits and eagerness. The top six finishers in each category received medals, while all finishers received completion certificates.

The modern pentathlon mass obstacle run is a nationwide fitness activity introduced by the Chinese Modern Pentathlon Association as part of project reforms. This year marks the third pentathlon, with the Guiyang leg attracting over 800 sports enthusiasts, providing an unforgettable running experience.
