Guiyang, Shanghai cooperate to build high-quality schools in Yunyan

Guiyang No 10 Middle School and Yunyan Experimental Middle School Affiliated to Guizhou Normal University signed cooperation agreements with Shanghai Jinchai Education Group and Zhoupu Senior High School Attached to East China Normal University, respectively, on July 1.

They will establish the Shanghai Jinchai Education Group Guiyang Co-built School and the Zhoupu Senior High School Attached to East China Normal University Guiyang Co-built School.

The two schools will officially start enrolling students in the autumn as co-built schools. Shanghai schools will dispatch outstanding management teams to the two co-built schools and will offer science and innovation classes for high school students for three consecutive years.

Shanghai Jinchai School is the first modern boarding high school in Shanghai and one of the first experimental and exemplary high schools in Shanghai. It has been achieving remarkable results for many years, ranking among the top in Shanghai.

Zhoupu Senior High School Attached to East China Normal University is an experimental and exemplary high school in Pudong New Area, founded in 1924. It is part of the characteristic high school construction project in Shanghai, with outstanding educational achievements.

A representative from Yunyan district's education bureau stated that this cooperation will inject new vitality into the education sector of Yunyan, and contribute to the prosperity of the regional economy and social progress.
