Yunyan launches science and technology week

Yunyan district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, launched its Science and Technology Week and Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition on May 27.

At the event, six project teams from a number of universities and enterprises in the province conducted project roadshows.

In recent years, Yunyan has been dedicated to stimulating regional innovation vitality and creating a favorable innovation environment.

The district has successively introduced and implemented policies such as the "several support policies for promoting mass entrepreneurship and innovation (trial)" and the "10 policy measures for further promoting technological innovation and development in Yunyan (trial)" to encourage innovation and entrepreneurship and drive innovation.

This has established a practical and feasible system of scientific and technological innovation policies, encouraging institutional innovation, providing financial support for innovation, nurturing an innovative environment, and promoting regional innovative development.

Throughout the event, Yunyan will conduct a series of activities such as lectures, technology outreach to rural areas and enterprises, and science promotion in schools.
