Yunyan adds new commercial complex

The Xinyin 1950 Discovery Project opened in Yunyan district, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on May 25.

Transformed and upgraded from the old site of Guizhou Xinhua Printing Factory, Xinyin 1950 is situated in the core area of the city center.

It serves as an important witness to Guizhou's cultural publicity front and has carried the collective memories of the people of Guiyang for over half a century.

Yunyan district collaborated with Guizhou Publishing Group on this renovated industrial building project.

After two and a half years of efforts, a cultural and creative park, has been built. It integrates historical imprints and industrial heritage into new functions, spaces, and environments that meet the demands of the times.

With 103 brands having already been attracted to the site – 38 percent of which are devoted to leisure and entertainment, 33 percent to cultural scenes, and 29 percent to daily consumption – the project encompasses dining, bookstores, printing museums, cultural and creative industries, retail spaces, bars, outdoor areas, theaters, and more.
