During this year's May Day holiday, attractions, malls, and streets in Yunyan district, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, were bustling with crowds.

Throughout the five-day holiday, the lush and beautiful Qianlingshan Park was overflowing with visitors. Tourists hiked amidst the greenery, interacted with the adorable and playful macaques, and enjoyed watching the beloved giant pandas, creating a lively atmosphere.

Occasional bouts of rain during the holiday did not dampen the enthusiasm of visitors as they ate and shopped on various gourmet streets and at commercial complexes.

"During the May Day holiday, thanks to the transformation of Taiping Road, people from all over the country came, improving business. Starting at noon, there were queues outside the Taiping Road shops, and during peak dining hours, the waiting time was at least an hour," said Gao Bin, founder of the Qianyuweng brand.

Moreover, various commercial complexes in Yunyan offered attractive discounts and activities to draw in more customers.

Activities such as the water splashing festival, cultural and art festival, intangible cultural heritage food festival, bonfire evening parties, and lively dance parties attracted numerous tourists.

Furthermore, two roadside concerts were staged at the Wenchang Pavilion, and many out-of-town visitors greatly enjoyed the performances.
