Qianling Hospital receives intl interns

Recently, 40 undergraduate medical students from the School of Overseas Education at Guizhou Medical University embarked on a two-week clinical internship at Qianling Hospital in Yunyan district of Guiyang.

This marked the first time that the hospital has hosted international medical students for practical training.

On the day of their arrival, Yang Yongjie, director of Qianling Hospital, extended a warm welcome to the students.

"Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) rehabilitation is based on traditional Chinese medical theories and employs various methods such as herbal medicine, acupuncture, massage, and medical devices to aid patients in recovering and regaining health. Doctors will tailor personalized treatment plans based on the patient's physical condition, etiology, and course of the disease," explained Yang as he introduced the students to the current status of the hospital's specialty department in TCM rehabilitation.

He also encouraged the students to delve into TCM culture, experience traditional Chinese culture, and learn all they can about treating illnesses with TCM.

After touring the facility, the students expressed their excitement, stating, "We are delighted to have the opportunity to intern at Qianling Hospital. We will diligently learn clinical skills and strive to become qualified doctors as soon as possible."
