In 2023, Yunyan district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, made new progress in various aspects of high-quality development.
In the promotion of new-type industrialization, Yunyan focused on the construction of Sanma Industrial Park. The park is divided into four phases, comprising 58 buildings and a total area of 633,500 square meters.

Phases I, II, and III have already been put into use, with an occupancy rate of 81 percent.
Significant progress was made in investment promotion as well. In 2023, the district introduced 157 industrial projects with a total investment of 39.8 billion yuan ($5.56 billion), of which 4.62 billion yuan was spent.

In September 2023, the Zhongjian Building in Yunyan introduced a leading enterprise — the nation's first Douyin digital economy base. The base will engage in e-commerce customer service, digital advertising, and other activities, with the main business revenue expected to exceed 18 billion yuan within five years.
By the end of November in 2023, Yunyan was home to a total of 128 commercial buildings with a combined area exceeding 6.52 million square meters, generating operating income of 168.2 billion yuan and a total tax revenue of 16.1 billion yuan.

In March 2023, Yunyan started the Taiping Road renovation and urban renewal project, breathing new life into the old street.
Currently, Taiping Road hosts around 200 businesses, such as restaurants, snack shops, tea houses, and bars. Most businesses operate until 10 pm, with some even extending their hours until 3 am.
Moving forward, Yunyan will steadfastly pursue high-quality development and contribute to the modernization of Yunyan.
