Although the park is free of charge from Jan 1, online reservations are required. Locals and tourists can make appointments through the WeChat miniapp or through the Meituan app, and enter the park with a QR code according to the reservation time. The opening and closing hours are 7 am to 8 pm every day.
Qianlingshan Park is the largest comprehensive urban mountain park in the country. It not only has unique natural scenery, but also carries rich cultural background, as well as ecological and economic value.
Built in 1957, the park has towering ancient trees, groups of birds and monkeys, and a forest coverage rate of 88 percent.
It receives more than 10 million visits every year, achieving annual tourism revenue of about 20 million yuan ($2.8 million).
