Qianling Mountain is known for its rich biodiversity, with a total of 476 plant species belonging to 128 families and 350 genera, accounting for approximately 8.17 percent of all plant species in the province.

According to incomplete statistics, there are nearly 1,200 wild macaques in the park, attracting tourists from all over the country.

Furthermore, the park is a paradise for birdwatchers. It is home to 102 bird species, belonging to 11 orders and 35 families, including 63 resident bird species, 17 summer migratory bird species, 16 winter migratory bird species, and 10 general migratory bird species.

The zoo within the park is also a major attraction. In 2018, the park welcomed two male giant pandas named Xingbao and Haibin. They were the first pandas in years to reside at a Guiyang zoo.
