The launch ceremony of the Douyin Digital Economy Industrial Base was held in Yunyan district, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on Oct 17.
This was Douyin's first digital economy industrial base to be established in the district.

In recent years, Guiyang has been resolutely promoting the strategy of digital revitalization. By 2022, the proportion of the added value of the digital economy to GDP had reached 49.2 percent, leading the way in the development of the digital economy.
Douyin is one of the top 500 unicorn companies in the world and has incubated the world's largest short video platform, with a user base exceeding 2 billion people.
The base will also double down on efficient digital marketing services to better promote the integration of emerging industries and traditional industries in Guiyang and help advance the high-quality development of the city's digital economy.
In addition, the base is expected to achieve a main business revenue of 3 billion yuan ($410.25 million) this year and exceed 18 billion yuan in the next five years, creating employment opportunities for more than 500 people.
So far this year, the district has attracted 29 projects in the digital economy industry, with a total contract amount of 18.56 billion yuan.
