3 firms from Yunyan honored with municipal recognition

Three companies in Yunyan district of Guiyang, the capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, were recently bestowed the title of key leading agricultural industrialization enterprises in the city.

They were Guizhou Forest and Grass Development Co, Guizhou Huangguoshu Lishuang Pharmaceutical Co, and Guizhou Yangtai Bio-Technology Co.

The former was established in September 1994. It is a State-owned enterprise under the leadership and management of the Guizhou Provincial Forestry Bureau.

The company has nearly 100,000 mu (6,666.66 hectares) of forest resources and an annual output value of around 100 million yuan ($13.68 million) from its forest and grass investigation and planning design business.

Set up in 1998, Guizhou Huangguoshu Lishuang Pharmaceutical Co is the largest manufacturer of pill formulations in the province.

Meanwhile, Guizhou Yangtai Bio-Technology Co focuses on healthy food products made from Guizhou cili (rosa roxburghii).

The company is centered around the deep processing of cili, and is focused on technological innovation, improving product quality, and expanding the cili industry.

Moving forward, the district's agriculture and rural affairs bureau will better serve leading agricultural enterprises in its jurisdiction, striving to cultivate them into provincial-level enterprises.
