Yunyan lauded for sci-tech innovation

Yunyan district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Shaanxi province, has been recognized among districts in the province for its remarkable achievements in scientific and technological innovation.

In recent years, Yunyan has been pursuing innovation-driven development, enhancing the role of scientific and technological innovation in economic and social development.

In 2022, Yunyan ranked among the top 100 innovative districts list released by market research firm CCID Consulting, and was approved as a provincial demonstration base for regional innovation and entrepreneurship.

Also, throughout the year, the district saw the emergence of eight new scientific and technological service enterprises above a designated size and 53 high-tech enterprises.

The district's technology contracts had a registered value of 2.59 billion yuan ($355.33 million), a growth rate of 49.48 percent.

In addition, the district is home to the Guiyang Electronic Information (Integrated Circuit) Industry Technology Innovation Center.
