Yunyan puts spotlight on digital economy

Since the beginning of this year, Yunyan district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has focused on attracting big data and related industries, as well as the electronic information industry, based on the industrial development foundation of the whole district.

Data shows that in the first half of the year, the district signed 60 new projects with a total contract investment of 21.32 billion yuan ($2.94 billion), and introduced 32 digital economy projects with a total investment of 19.8 billion yuan.

Yunyan has 126 office buildings with a total construction area of 4.59 million square meters, including Guiyang No 1 Building and the Dongmao Center.

Yunyan has attracted a number of leading companies and enterprises with ecological influence in the software and service industry, promoting the scaled development of the software and information technology service industry.

The Dongmao Center has formed an industrial ecosystem with the digital economy as its core and was named the "2022 Guiyang and Guian Digital Industry Building".

Moving forward, Yunyan district will strengthen its project-tracking services and promote project implementation to boost the high-quality development of its digital economy.
