In the first half of this year, the gross domestic product (GDP) of Yunyan district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, totaled 44.91 billion yuan ($6.25 billion), up 6.1 percent year-on-year, according to local authorities.
During this period, the added value of the district's primary, secondary and tertiary industries rose to 5.79 million yuan (up 1.1 percent), 12.29 billion yuan (up 0.4 percent), and 32.61 billion yuan (up 8.4 percent), respectively.
