Yunyan district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, launched its first job-seeking training camp on July 28.

Sponsored by the district's bureau of human resources and social security and organized by the bureau of employment, the training camp attracted 22 unemployed graduates from Guizhou University of Finance and Economics, Guizhou Minzu University, Huazhong Agricultural University, and other universities in and outside the province.

The training camp aims to help young people learn how to find work, make career preparations, and improve their job-seeking and employment capabilities.

It included two parts, namely the two-day intensive training and the two-week continuous support.

The two-day intensive training contained lessons designed to motivate job-seekers and help them optimize their resumes, explore careers, improve their interview skills, make plans, participate in road shows, and more. Job-seeking skills were taught and experienced company representatives were invited to share communication skills and employment skills during the training.

Several companies in Yunyan district also participated in the training camp to offer job opportunities to trainees.

The two-week continuous support followed the training sessions. Trainers will create personal files for each trainee, carrying out follow-up support according to their education level, skill level and service needs, and provide job promotion, policy consultation and other services in order to help trainees find employment.
