The Gaicha community health service center in Yunyan district, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, began its trial operation on June 25.
The center was transformed and expanded from the outpatient department of the original Xincheng Hospital, which previously covered 1,000 square meters.
The center has four floors, with the inpatient department on the fourth floor, and different departments on the other three floors.
Specialized departments have been established at the center, including preventive health care, general medicine, internal medicine, surgery, traditional Chinese medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, stomatology, rehabilitation medicine, medical laboratory, medical imaging, and children's vision health care.
So far, the center is equipped with two associate chief physicians, three attending physicians, five licensed physicians, five assistant physicians, two chief nurses, three nursing attendants, 12 nurses, and 15 public health personnel.
It aims to provide nearby residents with affordable, convenient, comprehensive, and high-quality medical and health services.
