Vocational skills competition spurs talents' enthusiasm

The 2023 Yunyan district vocational skills competition was held at the Guizhou Aluminum Technician College in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on June 29.

The competition saw hundreds of participants competing through practical exercises for the final awards, aiming to improve the quality of vocational skills development and cultivate and discover skilled talents.

The competition comprised three categories: e-commerce specialist, Guizhou cuisine cooking, and elderly care.

Each competition category had one first-prize winner, two second-prize winners, three third-prize winners, and six excellence award winners. The winners were awarded certificates and cash prizes ranging from 500 ($68.95) to 5,000 yuan.

All participants showcased their skills and demonstrated excellent professional abilities and sportsmanship during the competition.

After a day of fierce competition, 12 winners were selected for each category, including first, second, third, and excellence awards.

Moving forwards, Yunyan is expected to continue to host a series of vocational skills competitions to establish a platform for cultivating and discovering skilled talents.
