Business incubator fosters transformation of scientific, technological achievements

The science and technology business incubator at Guizhou Academy of Sciences in Yunyan district, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, is already playing a key role in supporting the transformation of scientific and technological achievements into commercial products.

Jointly built by Guizhou Academy of Sciences, Yunyan district people's government, Yunyan district's science and technology bureau, and Guizhou Kefu Technology Group Co, construction of this new incubator for technological innovation began in September 2022. It began operating this April.

It serves as an important platform to transform and commercialize the achievements of scientific research institutes within its jurisdiction. It also incubates scientific and technological enterprises, and is helping cultivate various scientific and technological industries.

As of the end of May, 95 enterprises had registered in the incubator, and 48 have settled there.

They cover such fields as electronic information, big data, environmental protection technology, medical technology, agricultural technology, and biotechnology.
