The commerce bureau of Yunyan district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, recently formed a research group to bolster rural vitalization efforts in Bianyang town of Luodian county in the province's Qiannan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture.
The research group also included the Guiyang municipal bureau of commerce, Guizhou Mintou Fruit and Vegetable Group, Guiyang Huimin Minsheng Agricultural and Sideline Products Management Co, and Guizhou Nonglian Agricultural Development Co.
The research group visited the pepper, waxberry and corn bases in Bianyang town to learn more about the construction and development as well as the planting of agricultural products such as pepper, water chestnuts, waxberries and corn.
They conducted in-depth exchanges on fruit and vegetable production, procurement models, procurement channels, and other areas.
In recent years, the bureau of commerce in Yunyan has given full play to its location and market advantages, and has helped more high-quality agricultural products from Luodian county reach a broader market.
From January to March, the bureau registered a total of 2,771.25 tons of agricultural products purchased in Bianyang town worth 17.65 million yuan ($2.49 million).
