The Touqiao sub-district health service center in Yunyan district, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has been renovated and put into use.

The Touqiao sub-district covers a relatively large jurisdiction, with a permanent population of more than 80,000. The previous center was only 700 square meters, with aging equipment and dated medical services.

The new center covers 3,400 sq m. It serves more than 12,000 households, with a more advantageous location and upgraded consultation services.

The health service center has various departments including general medicine, traditional Chinese medicine, rehabilitation, pediatric care, gynecology, maternal health care, and immunization planning, providing safe, effective and convenient medical services for local residents.

It also provides 14 basic public health services for residents free of charge, such as physical exams for those aged 65 and above, tuberculosis and cataract screenings, vaccinations, health management for children aged 0 to 6 years, and maternal health management.
