A new affordable rental housing project for talent has been completed and is now available in Yunyan district in Guiyang, the capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.
The project, which was completed on May 5, consists of 284 sets of affordable rental housing that were constructed by Zhuchao Apartment using idle assets.
This is the first project of its kind in Guiyang, and it has already achieved a 95 percent occupancy rate with over 290 tenants.
To meet the needs of talent living, the apartment complex comes equipped with a range of facilities, including a service hall, gyms, reading rooms, and lounge terraces. The complex also plans to introduce supermarkets and delivery services to satisfy tenants' needs.
Moreover, the apartment provides multi-services such as talent policy consulting, meeting room renting, vocational training, and entrepreneurship guidance.
Fresh graduates who have lived in the complex for a year can apply for a subsidy worth 2,400 yuan ($346.56) to help them settle into their new homes. This initiative is intended to help ease the burden of housing expenses for young professionals who are starting their careers.
Yunyan district built 2,990 sets of affordable rental housing for talent in 2022. The district plans to build another 2,640 sets this year. The goal is to provide more affordable housing options for talented individuals who are looking to live and work in Guiyang.
