A garden party for the Lantern Festival will be held at Wenchang Pavilion in Yunyan district, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on Feb 5.
A series of colorful activities will be staged during the event, such as folk culture performances, festive and lively lion dances, a singing and dancing gala, hilarious Guizhou-style cross talks, and classic dramas.
"I'm most looking forward to the Guizhou-style cross talks. Listening to the performance in Guizhou dialect will be interesting," said a resident named Ma Yong, who lives near Wenchang Pavilion.
In addition, traditional interactive games will be prepared, such as lantern-riddle guessing, movable type printing, rubbings of ancient poems, and five-in-a-row.
