Yunyan pursues high-quality education development

Yunyan district of Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, pushed education to a new level in 2022, delivering substantial benefits to local residents.

Preschool education has entered the development "fast lane", greatly improving in terms of both capacity and quality. In 2022, Yunyan district built six new public kindergartens, which can accommodate 2,000 children. It also built five new private kindergartens, which can accommodate 700 children.

In the meantime, the district continued to increase high-quality educational resources. In 2022, it worked to establish two schools for high school students and promote the development and upgrading of high school education.

Also, the Yunyan district people's government signed a memorandum of understanding with Guizhou Normal University to jointly build a high school which will be able to accommodate 6,000 students.

In order to strengthen teaching capability, the district has recruited 352 teachers through multiple channels and introduced 110 high-level talented teachers, and fostered 110 outstanding educational professionals.

Lin Xiaofeng, Party secretary and director of the Yunyan district education bureau, said that in the future, Yunyan will continue to follow the path of high-quality development of education and do all it can to meet the people's expectations.
