In 2022, 110 back streets and alleys in Yunyan district, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, were reconstructed.
The renovated back streets and alleys include fifteen 15-minute living circles in the district, including 2.7 kilometers of rainwater pipe network, 3 km of sewage pipe network, and 19 km of rain and pollution dredging and restoration.

"Previously, cars were parked carelessly and there was a general lack of cleanliness. Now, after renovation, the environment is no longer dirty and smelly," said Luo Ping, a resident of Banbian Street in Yunyan, who is grateful for the renovation efforts.
Yunyan has taken the upgrading of back streets and alleys as a way to boost the quality of life.
Now, the revitalized back streets and alleys not only improve the living environment of the residents, but also make the district more aesthetically pleasing.
