The Minshenglu Farmers' Market, which opened in 1993, was of the first large-scale farmers' markets in Yunyan district.

As the city developed, the market's facilities became outdated and it had a poor drainage system and insufficient supporting services.

In order to solve these problems, the Yunyan district bureau of commerce cooperated with multiple departments and companies to carry out intelligent transformation and upgrading of the market.

In May of this year, the market reopened after several months of renovation, and the Guiyang City Market Construction and Development Center, an affiliate of Guiyang Agricultural Investment Group, is responsible for the operation and management.

Elevators and steps have been installed at the entrance, and shopping carts have been added beside the elevators, while the display screen at the entrance displays the classification and quality inspection of the vegetables in real-time.

To provide more convenient services for residents in surrounding communities, the market has also cooperated with a third-party catering company to set up a 200-sq-m community canteen targeting the disabled, soldiers, and people over 70 years old, offering a 50 percent discount.
