A book sharing system in four communities in Yunyan district, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has recently been put into use, providing 24-hour self-service book-borrowing services for the public.
"The concept of book sharing is great. Not only are there many kinds of books on offer, but it's also environmentally-friendly. It's now easy for us to read and borrow books," said a woman surnamed Wu, who lives in Bageyan sub-district in Yunyan.
She said that the installation of the book-sharing system further satisfies the daily needs of nearby residents.
The book-sharing system is simple and convenient to operate, and books can be borrowed and returned by scanning a QR code. The system will regularly allocate and replace books according to the borrowing preferences and frequency of users.
In addition to physical books, the book-sharing system also provides e-books.
