Yunyan approved as base for entrepreneurship, innovation

The sixth group of Guizhou "mass entrepreneurship and innovation" demonstration bases were recently released by the Guizhou Provincial Development and Reform Commission, which included Yunyan district in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province.

In recent years, Yunyan district has made strong efforts to build a high-quality innovation and entrepreneurship system by strengthening the construction of the support service system for entrepreneurship and innovation, building a support platform, sharing resources, cultivating a high-quality innovation ecosystem, and promoting its culture.

To date, the district has built seven maker spaces, including two at the national level, two at the provincial level and three at the municipal level. This year, a new municipal science and technology business incubator in Yunyan was identified and 128 enterprises and teams were introduced.

Relying on the talent advantages of Guizhou University and the industrial agglomeration advantages of the electronic information industry of the previous cigarette factory, the district has been approved as the only Guiyang Electronic Information (Integrated Circuit) Industrial Technology Innovation Center in the city.

Yunyan has been awarded the titles of national top 100 comprehensive strength district, top 100 investment potential district, top 100 green development district, and top 100 science and technology innovation district over the course of many years.

In April this year, the CCID City Economic Research Center, a research institution under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, officially released the 2022 CCID Top 100 Innovation Districts. Yunyan ranked 92nd and was the only selected district in Guizhou province.
