Over the next five years, Yunyan district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, will upgrade its industrial structure as it seeks to become a more influential and competitive economic power in Southwest China.
The district will accelerate the development of the electronic information industry led by chip manufacturing, board manufacturing, smart wear, and terminal products.
During the period, the construction of the industrial concentration zone to meet the district's development needs will be completed.

The development of the modern service industry will be promoted as well, as well as the digital economy and the building economy, while the cultural tourism industry is expected to become Yunyan's major economic driver.
It is also expected that by the end of 2025, the district's renovation of shanty towns, old residential communities and back alleys will be fully completed.
