Smart parking building in Yunyan benefits residents

The smart parking building on Yan'an West Road in Yunyan district, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has been operating for several months since Jan 1 this year.

The parking building provides 662 parking spaces, alleviating parking issues around West Yan'an Road, Zaoshan Road and Huangjin Road in Yunyan, and optimizing the regional traffic environment and the quality of urban services.

It adopts an advanced mechanical parking system capable of fully automatic parking and retrieval.

When parking, the car owner does not need to find a parking space themself, and only needs to drive the vehicle into the three-dimensional garage lift. The system will automatically send the vehicle to the nearest parking space.

When picking up the car, the owner only needs to confirm the pickup on the screen of the smart device terminal, and within two minutes, the system will automatically send the vehicle to the pickup hall.

There are also new energy vehicle charging parking areas on both sides of the parking building, providing more than 50 fast charging piles.

Since it started operating at the beginning of the year, the average daily traffic flow of the parking building has exceeded 3,000, and the parking lot on average filled to about 35 percent capacity.

It is currently fully able to withstand the traffic parking pressure from surrounding areas in the district.
