Yunyan sets goals for second half

Yunyan district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has set goals for its social and economic development in the second half of this year.

The district will focus on the construction of industrial parks, technological innovation, the cultivation of enterprises and bringing in industries to promote breakthroughs in its industrial economy.

Throughout the year, Yunyan plans to complete industrial investment of more than 2 billion yuan ($292.13 million), the district's total industrial output value is projected to reach 32 billion yuan, and the added value of industries above a designated size is expected to increase by 19 percent.

The district will make efforts to stimulate consumption, accelerate the development of the cultural tourism industry and focus on the commercial real estate economy.

It will work to ensure a 10 percent increase in the total volume of retail sales by the end of the year and add 500 market entities related to tourism and three buildings with tax revenue of more than 100 million yuan.

The district will also continue to optimize its business environment by rolling out more policies benefiting enterprises and improving administrative efficiency.

In addition, to raise living standards, Yunyan will complete the renovation of 17 farmers' markets and 100 backstreets and the construction of four fresh food supermarkets.
