The renovation of Xiangyang Road in Yangliuwan community and Daying Road sub-district in Yunyan district, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, were recently completed, making travel easier.
"Reconstruction of the road started on May 20 and its functions are now being further improved based on the demands of residents," said Huang Xiaoping, the project leader.

Xiangyang Road has a history of more than 20 years and the total length of the renovated and upgraded road is more than 130 meters. It is the only road available to more than 1,200 people in the community.
Since there are many motorcycles, battery cars, and private cars on Xiangyang Road, charging piles, guardrails, and designated parking spaces have been added. The parking of vehicles has become more standardized.
Since the beginning of this year, Yunyan has continuously accelerated urban renewal and transformation, improved the layout of urban functions, and promoted new-type urbanization.
The reconstruction of 110 backstreets and alleys in Yunyan has started this year, and 34 of them are nearly complete.
In addition, plans have been formulated for all 17 farmers' markets to be renovated and expanded this year. So far, one project has been completed and five are under construction.
