Yunyan's Taiping Road popular among young people

Unique car trunk stalls on Taiping Road in Yunyan district, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, have become popular among young people and internet celebrities.

"Young people like to gather here to chat and drink coffee," said Peng Tao, the owner of Zhengbei Coffee.

Peng opened his car trunk stalls in April this year.

"On average, we sell 80 cups of coffee per day. When business is good, we sell more than 200 cups per day and earn 15,000 yuan ($2,222.14) a month," Xiong said.

In addition to trunk stalls, bars and drink shops on Taiping Road are also very popular among young people.

The No 36 & Snow Coffee specializes in coffee during the day and craft beer at night. The shop has 36 desks, and its industrial style decoration style has attracted many customers.

Xiong Yi, who runs the shop, said that since opening at the end of June this year, the occupancy rate has been around 80 percent, and sometimes reaches 100 percent on weekends.

Due to the shop's unique decoration style, many young people come to take pictures, and some even come to take wedding photos, Xiong added.
