Yunyan district acts to support business, boost confidence

The bureau of commerce of Yunyan district – located in Guiyang city, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province – has implemented a number of measures designed to stabilize resident companies and boost the confidence of business entities.

The bureau has visited key enterprises within its jurisdiction since the start of the year, to learn about their production and operational status and to help them to develop better through practical action.

In another initiative, the district has invested about 4.3 million yuan ($643,169) in the construction of a foot bridge at the entrance of the Incity commercial complex, to improve traffic conditions and help companies increase the flow of customers and visitors.

In order to support the steady development of time-honored enterprises and protect and inherit time-honored brands, Yunyan has rolled out subsidies and favorable policies for enterprises for five consecutive years.

This year, a total of 5.4 million yuan of district-level subsidy funds were allocated to enterprises for the construction of projects related to high-quality stores, the development of specialty catering outlets and brand chain convenience stores.

The district deems the night economy to be an important source of jobs. To boost it, the bureau of commerce has introduced professional operators to its night economy, to develop a prosperous night market commercial street and further stimulate consumer spending.

As a matter of fact, the district has always focused on people's livelihoods. As a result, the district has allocated nearly 20 million yuan in bonuses and subsidies to carry out the upgrading and transformation of the farmer's market and for the construction of a fresh food supply system.
