In 2021, the upgrading and renovation of the farmers' market were included in the district's annual livelihood project and will serve as an example for similar efforts in the future.
The newly upgraded farmers' market reopened on May 20 this year, with ventilation, water supply, drainage, circuit equipment, and fire safety facilities comprehensively upgraded.
Smart electronic scales, merchant information screens and other facilities have been added to promote smart publicity, testing, operation and supervision, and to improve the efficiency of operation and management.
A community canteen has also been set up at the market, at which those over 70 years old, the disabled, and veterans can eat for only 8 yuan ($1.19).
In addition, there is a convenient service center at the market which provides services such as sewing, repair, and elderly care.
