The second health service center in Shuidong community in Yunyan district – the Shuidong branch of Yunyan District No 2 People's Hospital in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, officially began treating patients on May 8, alleviating a shortage in access to local medical treatment.

The health service center has opened eight departments for medical treatment, Chinese medicine, gynecology, pediatric health, stomatology and psychological counseling, as well as medical and technical departments such as a laboratory department, radiology department, B-ultrasound room, electrocardiogram room, traditional Chinese pharmacy, and western pharmacy.
It is capable of providing comprehensive medical treatment, prevention, health care, rehabilitation, health education and traditional Chinese medicine services for locals in the district.

"I travel a lot on business, and I had to go to Qianling Hospital for nucleic acid testing. It's too far. Now it can be done at my doorstep, which saves me a lot of trouble," said a resident of Yunyan district.
"The development of community health services is meant to increase access to and reduce the cost of medical treatment for the public," said the relevant person in charge of the Shuidong Road sub-district office in Yunyan district.
