Activities held in Yunyan district mark Women's Day

To mark International Women's Day on March 8, the Yunyan district of Guiyang – capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province – held a series of fun activities.

A flower arrangements class was held at the Yunyan District Cultural Center, attracting the participation of more than 40 women.

The activity invited teachers to give detailed explanations of materials, types, color matching, modeling and the practical skills behind flower arrangements.

"Today is really a fruitful day. I hope our women are as happy and as beautiful as flowers," said Yao Xu, chairman of the Yunyan district federation of literature.

Other activities took place, such as poetry reading.
